We've been really busy this summer...with lots of projects. The first one finished was this lattice work trellis covering the UGLY sub panel outside my kitchen window. I really hated looking at the sub panel and bugged Ted until he put this project at the top of his priority list. I planted two clematis, supposedly different colors. Hum...that didn't turn out right, but I do like the color of the blossoms.

Then we hired a local handyman and for $10 an hour he painted the back porch. That's me on the porch enjoying watching the hummingbirds feed less than six feet away. Their antics are wonderful to watch and when I need to de/stress I sit out here for a while. The railings are coming...just in the planning stage right now.
The next project was to get the "new" container painted. These things are for sale for obvious reasons. They are a mess! Ted had to grind down the rust...
and there was a lot of it!

But, eventually it was ready for the primer.
And the final coat of green, hopefully to blend in the bushes as much as possible. Now he can get serious about insulating the interior. More on that later.
While all this was going on, I decided I hated my builder's grade kitchen sink and faucet. I'm probably the only American woman who hates stainless steel, but I do.
So, Ted and Buck tackled the project. There was a lot of this....
and more of this...
and a couple days of this...
before we arrived at this!!!!!!!!! I love it! It looks clean, crisp, and is easy to maintain. After 6 days of chaos in my kitchen, I love the results.
So, friends are asking why they haven't seen much of us this summer, with these projects for Ted, and CASA and court reports and hearings for me, we've been really busy! Believe it or not, we're both losing a lot of weight right now. Stress for both of us, and physical work for Ted seem to be the reason. STAY TUNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
