POWER!!!!!!

Have you ever seen a meter that reads 00000? Actually, if you look carefully, the last pointer has started to turn. YEAH!

THE LIGHTS ARE ON!
As excited as we are, we have had a disappointing experience. We have paid thousands of dollars to bring the power to our lot, and two of our neighbors volunteered to help us with the cost, as they would be hooking up at our expense. They each set their own contribution and we gratefully accepted their offers. One has reneged and we have ended our relationship with her. It took a lot of thought and discussion, but the problems were ongoing, and we felt we were better off with no relationship than one fraught with unexpected pitfalls. There are always lessons to be learned at any age.

So, it looks like we could be moving in to our home NEXT WEEK! The schedule is, Thursday the county building inspector will give us final approval, Friday the contractor returns to finish the gas line and cooktop installation, Monday the house will be cleaned top to bottom by a professional crew, Tuesday we will clean the carpets, Wednesday we will begin assembling furniture, Thursday the dining room and living room furniture will be delivered, and some time during all this we will move all our belongings from the motorhomes and the 10x10 storage unit! Phew, I'm tired thinking of all this!

Stay tuned..........

Yeahhhh! Congrats on the power. It won't be long now till you have everything done. . . Or is it true that everything is never done.

WOW and HOORAY, you are finally seeing the operational status of this latest adventure. I sure hope you can stay on track with that schedule you described! If you falter on one item on one of those days, everything will begin to back up, but, I hope you won't allow that to happen. You sure got it looking good. I like the look with the lights on. it looks real homey and cozy. Too bad about the loser neighbor. Better now than later! keep up the updates. I enjoy seeing how progress is being made at each step. It's as if I am there and sharing your dream. Good show, Cuz!
