Arizona is an OPEN RANGE state.That means...if you don't want the cattle on your property , you have to fence them out! Today this small herd wandered through. That is our power pole and I'm standing on the porch taking the picture. In the front of the house we have an electric fence around our new trees and my garden.
The dogs get all excited and Rebel would chase them if we allowed it. They are BIG!

Our property is in Open Range territory. We had not realized the ramifications until we owned it. Damage to structures, vehicles, utilities, spreading of noxious weeds, attacks on our pets, threats to our persons... We knew it was the law of the land going in. Fences have now become my friend and eating steak has reached a new level of enjoyment.
